Welcome to the NHK is not for the faint of heart, but it might be harsh medicine for anyone who wants to clear themselves of an anime, manga, or other otaku fixation. In mid-2006, Gonzo aired Welcome To The NHK, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Tatsuhiko Takimoto; it was also adapted into a manga. I never thought I would read Welcome to the N.H.K. I have recently finished watching Gonzo's 2006 anime series, Welcome to the NHK, based on the novel and manga series written by Tatsuhiko Takimoto (which I have not read). Darkly amusing, surprisingly thoughtful, and at times almost painful to watch, Welcome to the NHK puts the 'fun' in dysfunction. Collection of troubles and problems we can meet in our life.
